Prerequisites
Custom domains are entitlement-gated. Free/default users currently have one custom domain before a plan or an admin bonus increases the limit.
Each sandbox can have one active non-deleted custom domain at a time.

Add and verify a custom domain
Attach one custom hostname per sandbox, configure DNS records, verify ownership, and activate the domain.

Nostate requires both ownership verification and routing verification before activation.
The domain drawer shows the exact records to create.
- TXT record on `_nostate-verify.{hostname}`
- Routing record to the shared edge
- For subdomains: usually `CNAME`
- For apex/root domains: configured `A/AAAA` edge records
Activation and removal
After DNS is in place, trigger verification from the domain drawer. Nostate checks DNS and then queues an `attach_domain` operation.
Removing a domain also queues a detach operation and temporarily blocks other lifecycle actions for that sandbox until the operation settles.
